Frederik Meijer Gardens offer beautiful trails and sculptures for families to explore and on May 28th, join the Children’s Garden to make “A-May-zing Discoveries” all about spring. Starts at 10:30am.
West Michigan Whitecaps play multiple games this weekend against the Lake County Captains. Enjoy a night at the ballpark with all your favorite concessions and kooky Whitecaps characters.
Beautiful Saugatuck Dunes State Park is the perfect place to enjoy both a hike and a day at the beach! With tons of trails and a large beach, there are plenty of places to explore and spread out. Plus, Saugatuck Dunes is located near The Felt Mansion which hosts guided tours!
Memorial Day Parades will be held in Jenison, Walker, Caledonia, and Wayland. Special BBQs and ceremonies will be held throughout the area as well. Check out the full list here!
Who doesn’t love baby animals?? Get your baby goat fix this weekend at Ada Christian School and sign your family up for some serious cuddles. The Critter Barn in Zeeland also offers public tours of their farm and cute animal crew!

The Mancelona Bass Festival runs May 27th - 31st this year! The festival features a classic car show, crafters show, Grand Parade, Cornhole tournament, and more! This festival could easily be a day trip (located just 2 hours north of Grand Rapids) or make it a full weekend exploring Traverse City as well (located 45 minutes west).
Dog Bowl and Balloons Over the Bavarian Inn runs May 28th - May 31st and features hot air balloon championships, a Pet Parade, and pet contests and competitions. Plus, this event offers FREE admission!
