Are you looking for something fun to do this fall?
ArtPrize, hosted in downtown Grand Rapids since 2009, is the world’s most attended public art event and is a great place to bring your family for an art immersed morning or afternoon from September 15th-October 2nd.
ArtPrize is an independently organized international art competition that celebrates artists from all around the world. This competition is open to all artists and any venue willing to host art installations.
Visitors are welcome to vote for their favorite pieces as well! The artist with the most votes will receive a grand prize of $250,000 and starting last year, visitors can now award smaller cash prizes and emotional response awards to different artists.
You will have the opportunity to discover art displays in downtown parks, public squares, museums, restaurants and more. ArtPrize is the perfect place to bring your littles for a walk and explore thousands of different art pieces.
If you prefer to avoid the big crowds downtown, there are some outlying sites with artwork like Frederik Meijer Gardens, The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum, Grand Rapids Art Museum, Grand Rapid’s Children’s Museum, and the Grand Rapids Public Museum.
Stimulate your imagination, enjoy a day outdoors, and get your art-fix in downtown Grand Rapids this fall! Learn more at https://artprize.org/
