It's time to celebrate - we have finally made it to summer! After surviving a loooong Michigan winter and spring, I think we can all agree we are ready to get out and enjoy the sunshine. Listed below are some fun West Michigan summer adventures to keep your littles engaged and active this summer!
Do you and your family love music, water, and fun lights? Well, with the Grand Haven Musical Fountains, you can have all three! The fountains are free for all to enjoy and offer a fun variety of music each night. Each show lasts from 25-30 minutes and can be enjoyed in the Lynne Sherwood Waterfront Stadium right on the water in Grand Haven. Show Dates: Every night (at sundown) from Memorial Day to Labor day
Time to break out the camera and sunglasses, it's Dune Riding season! Dune rides are great for all ages, are mobility-impaired friendly, and an overall West Michigan classic. Mac Wood's Dune Rides offers an amazing 7 mile ride. On the tour, see gorgeous views of sand dunes, breathtaking Lake Michigan and Silver Lake, learn the fun history of the area, and more! Every Thursday night, the City of Holland invites artists and performers from all around West Michigan to show off their dazzling talents! Come see musicians, dancers, magicians, face painters, jugglers, aerial aerobics and so much more! This is a fun, free family-friendly event that all ages can enjoy. Runs every Thursday, 6:30P.M-8:30 P.M, June 16-August 18.
ROAR!! It's time to get wild and see all of the fun animals and creatures at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids. This is a large zoo with a little bit of everything and more to come! See animals from all over the world and from different climates right here in beautiful West Michigan. At the zoo, they also offer a fun petting zoo, zip lines, face painting, playground, and special animal showings.
